Andrea Juhan was 17 when she met Gabrielle Roth at the Esalen Institute. She then taught the 5 Rhythms for over 30 years, also combining the dance practice with her studies in psychology, especially Gestalt practice. Andrea is one of the co-founders of Open Floor, a collaborative approach sourcing from a variety of different movement, psychological and spiritual practices.

I first danced with Andrea in the mid 2000’s in the Bay Area. I finally had a chance to take a longer workshop with her in Italy in November 2019, her last public offering before starting a sabbatical year. We sat down for a lively conversation in an old farm house in the middle of Milan.
